Developing a robust cybersecurity defense program is critical to enhancing grid security and power sector resilience. But how can utility leaders fortify their cybersecurity and ensure that resources go where they are most needed? To help answer that question, NREL researchers are hosting this upcoming webinar developed in collaboration with CARILEC and through the USAID-NREL Partnership’s Resilient Energy Platform [https://resilient-energy.org/].
This webinar will focus on governance — the processes that direct a utility-wide cybersecurity effort and provide accountability for that effort — as one of the eleven fundamental building blocks needed to develop a balanced cybersecurity program. This webinar will also highlight the role that leadership plays in developing and fostering a culture of cybersecurity to help protect utilities from future cyberattacks and other key best practices outlined in the forthcoming NREL technical report, Power Sector Cybersecurity Building Blocks.
Speakers for this event include:
Erick Conde, USAID
Cletus Bertin, CARILEC
Maurice Martin, NREL
Tami Reynolds, NREL
James Elsworth, NREL
