The Biden-Harris Administration has set a goal of net zero emissions and a clean economy by 2050. To help meet this goal, DOE is launching the Zero Energy Design Designation to recognize programs at post-secondary institutions that prepare students for building careers in the 21st century and help to future-proof our workforce. Students and collegiate institutions can learn how to join the first cohort, how it helps to showcase your efforts in preparing the next generation of building professionals, and the process to earn this new designation. The session will discuss the curricular requirements for earning the designation, process for documentation, and timeline.
Join DOE's Holly Jamesen Carr and Jaime Van Mourik to learn more about the new Zero Energy Design Designation and how it can benefit your collegiate institution and students.
The session will be recorded and posted to the DOE website: https://www.energy.gov/eere/buildings/articles/us-department-energy-zero-energy-design-recognition-program.
